I have always had amazing luck with an orange pad and Menzerna FG400. It cuts great and finishes out very good. I have used it as a 1 step polish and been very happy with my results.i hear a cutting compound, then black light from chemical guys? haha too much info and products out there!

What you should do is the Garry Dean method on YouTube. This seems to be the best method. I was careless this last time and didn't presoak the paint with onr diluted in a spray bottle, and I ended putting some small scratches in the roof and hood, but that's my fault for being careless. Look up the Garry Dean method on YouTube, it's the way I'll be doing it from now on to ensure you're not scratching or using dirty towels.
Thanks for the tip. I bought my truck used, it has scratches, and its silver. I'm not looking to have a perfect finish, but living in an apartment this actually will be an easier way to get a good wash done.
