Road Oil Remover

I have used many different things for taking road oil off of my trucks over the years. (I drive country roads and get alot of road oil on my trucks.) I have used most kinds of bug and tar remover, diesel fuel, and gasoline and they all worked fairly well with a little bit of elbow grease. I cleaned my dad's truck the other day and I got some "Tarminator" from my local Napa and it works awesome. The can said spray on, let sit for 1 minute and rinse all the oil off. I thought "yeah right" but it worked almost that good. I sprayed it on and after letting it sit, it all wiped off with no pressure needed at all. It was by far the best stuff I've ever used. It didn't leave much of a film either. A good hand wash job and it was ready for wax.

Awesome. Good info. I've always used bug and tar remover too. May have to try this stuff out. I'm always getting into road oil every year.

Out on country roads they put oil down and then come back and cover it with rock. In the summer when it gets pretty hot the oil "bleeds" through the rock you tires can sling it up on your paint. Pain the ass!

Interesting. Never had that happen on mine and I'm always driving on dirt roads. Might not need it in Texas
