90% of the time. Checkout that that monsoon dirt on the inner door. Ahh the joys.

Nothing looks better or worse than a black truck/car--depending on how the owner keeps it. Everyone should own at least one black vehicle in their life time. IMHO

My 06 was black and honestly nothing looked better clean, but that was rare, even after a good wash it would only last a few days but when I got the new one, I got the MG and I'm happy with it, doesn't look as sharp when clean, but it actually looks a lot cleaner most of the time. Not sure I'll ever go back to a black vehicle.

Black is such a pita to keep clean. I park my truck in the garage and wash and wax on a regular basis. I even wipe it down with a microfiber towel almost every time I'm home. I still have dust that sticks like a magnet just sittin in the garage I can see it on the hood in the morning. I see black cars in the parking lot where I work and they are effing spotless. I have no idea how they keep theirs so clean. Is there some secret cleaner I don't know about for black paint?

I know how you feel. Black is my favorite color when cleaned and waxed. a rain sprinkle can ruin it. I used to train people how to close the doors on my black '02. I even carried detailing mist and a microfiber towel in the truck to clean it.

Best way to really get it to shine is to start EARLY! I would start at 7am sometimes!

I sure do miss my black '12 GT California Special Mustang. She was SOOOO bad.
But it took at least 4 hours to wash/dry her. and within 10 minutes, she was yellow again.

I owned a black celica while I was in japan and after cleaning it a few times, I was done. Given, like it's be said many times over, black is an awesome color when clean and waxed but unless you're willing to go that extra mile, it's a waste of time. Couple hours of work for a day or 2 of enjoyment. I love my red truck, give it a quick clean and wax and it'll last for a long time.

Microfiber towels and a bottle of quick detail spray can help extend the time between washing a lot.

I will be getting a black truck soon, but it helps when my OCD is that I must have a clean vehicle.

I normally detail my truck every Friday, and for throughout the week, get one of those California Dusters from the auto parts store and it gets all that light dust right off, Oh, And I carry an entire bag of cleaning supplies/microfiber towels in my truck always hahaha

Awesome pic Oggie!

Black is the best color if you want to show off the shine! Good technique will save you time and keep it sparklin!

Between wash, dry, and wax I spent from around 7:30pm to just before 11 on mine. That included two layers of wax. I saw someone mentioned starting around 7am- thats hard here on the Gulf Coast. My biggest issue is I have nowhere to wash/dry the truck that is in the shade, so I have to wait till late evening. Doing it during the day would be suicide for myself, and the paint (hot, being more apt for swirls and dried soap) considering how hot it gets. I tried washing my black Rumble Bee during the day once and never again.
