Tonight I pulled the third brake light to replace the factory seal with a rubber one. Got down to the adhesive and the posts saying its on there is valid.

Thought Id soak it with some 3m adhesive remover and well crap. It started fading the brake plastic color on the back big time and got to the main edges.

Is there a trick, option, or something that can restore the normal look on the main side? Its not noticeable from the ground but standing in the bed you can see it along the top edge its hazy and lighter.

Tried a light polish and it didnt do anything. Thanks all.

thats not going to polish out, looks like it got behind the lens, you can see if there is some between the seal and the lens that you can remove but otherwise that wont be going anywhere

You can wetsand that and reclear it. Or buy a new lens, shouldn't be expensive

to me that doesnt appear to be clear, especially if he polished it

Hmm not sure then. It wouldn't make much sense to me, and I can be wrong, he couldn't wet sand and clear. Doesn't look like the color changed at all but rather the clear damaged

Thats what I was afraid of. It got between them and the black on the back is no longer black. Obviously that doesnt matter though.

The extra you have. Is it brand new?

My other option was a later if light tint or vht thoughts?

First load of gravel in the bed and that little brake light imperfection that i can't even see will matter alot less ;)
