Say you just got a used vehicle and wanted to give it a full exterior detail. List in what order you do things from buffing up to your final waxing including what product you use and what you applied/removed it with.

Huge Adams Polishes fan, a sponsor on this site. Lots of great videos on techniques and products there. Without a doubt, claying is key to remove industrial fallout accumulated between the day it was first painted and the day you took the keys and drove it off the lot.
Enjoy

A shiny one
Here you go.......

- 2 Bucket Wash (Foam gun) including wheel cleaner
-You can clean your engine compartment at this time
- Dry with Master Blaster
- Clay
- Treat all trim (black) with VRT before polishing
- Test spot too see what it is going to take to make my paint better or perfect.
This way I will need to know how aggressive I need to go with my pad and polish.
- Machine Polish
- Then either wax or apply sealant, usually for DD I apply

Google the Junkman 2008 for some informative videos. You'll need a couple of beverages for the videos as well.

Can’t you bar it while it’s still kinda wet? Don’t you wet it anyway?? Never did full clay bar detail. Just spots here and there

I clay bar it with spray detailer. it has more lubricity than just water, that gives you less of a chance or marring the paint.

Like a meguirs Quick Detailer? Like the quick mist spray waxes? That’s why I was wondering if you could do it while it’s still kinda wet instead of towel or air drying?

It depends on the condition. If I'm doing a full detail, I wash the vehicle with Dawn dish washing soap first, then clay then compound then polish then wax. This will change now that sealant is a thing. Sealant will go just before wax.

If I'm not trying to remove old product, then I use a car wash soap and apply new wax after drying the vehicle

How’s the foam work out? Buy the gun and shoot it then hit it with sponges?

Honestly I wax it once a year then just wash and spray wax weekly. Rims are the worst. Build up with brake dust. Ordered some sealant for them. See if that helps...
