So...I need some REAL WORLD fuel mileage numbers from everyone on 2014 cummins 4x4s. Preferably from the 6 speed manual and non-aisen auto. Thanks!

Mine is a 3500 SRW 4x4 with the 68rfe and barely 1200 miles on the odometer. I'm seeing mid 16's in the city and 20 or so on the highway. Towing my 12,000 fifth wheel seems to be around 10. Have not hand calculated. Very pleased so far.

Don't understand why your asking the question. There are so many holes. You need to be specific. Like what are you doing with the cummins? Or should I say "what do you want to do with your cummins?"

My uncle saw 11.5 L /100kms with his 2012 2500 Cummins auto trans with 1 ton of weight in the box doing 75 mph coming back from Illinois to Canada. That's pretty impressive! His is DPF deleted though so that really helps.

I get about 22-23 highway driving 70mph. 2500HD, automatic, 2700 miles on truck. Average mileage over life of the truck (2700 miles) is 19.1 according to the computer. All non towing obviously.

I have an excellent deal worked on a 2014, 3500 4x4 LBCC but it's a 6spd manual. I'm turned off by the loss of 140 lbs of torque and 20 hp with the manual G56 trans over the auto. Is there any real mileage gains with the manual over the standard auto?

Real world number 2014 3500 Mega 4X4 SRW, 23 Mpg Highway, 18 city, those number are empty(not towing). Calculated not off the dash. I love it! Better than my 03 F150 ever got.

I'm assuming you have the Auto trans? Those are great numbers!

Yeah I have the auto trans but not the Aisen. Those highway numbers are from a 6 hour trip from LA to Vegas and back. Suprised the heck out of me. Oddly enough the dash MPG meter was within 1 or 2 MPG of actual. The city numbers are just driving around my hometown.

In about 6 weeks I'm starting a 2800 mile trip with my RAM, I plan on keeping records of every ounce of diesel I put in, so I will have a really good highway MPG caculation at the end. I will try and remember to post my results here for you.

I have a 2014 RAM 3500 6.7 CTD Crew Cab, Long Bed, Big Horn 4x4 with the 68rfe. 2800 miles.

I calculated 23.3 MPG all highway on a flat stretch round-trip between Chicago and Cleveland OH. This was not using EVIC. EVIC stated 25.9.

Speed was 70 MPH.
No towing.

Not trying to be rude at all. Just need more info.

Not all rams are the same. Might have different tires, different gears in the rear, planning on a lift, air intake, possibly a tuner (don't know if the prior year tuner apply to the 2014 model). All of these things factor in real mpg on a truck. For all, we know the guy wants to use it for heavy loads, or towing.

More info is better to help the guy out because if he shopping for a truck (or trying to mod the truck he just got, to get more mpg) you want to give correct answers.

Take it easy....it's all about info and helping out a fellow ram member.:p

I have a 2014 2500 4x4 and have been consistently (highway and city) been getting 20-22 mpg. Some ppl might say that they are turned off by the slight differences in hp and torque from the manual vs the automatics but come on. When will you ever actually use all that power. If you are really going to be pulling such a huge payload than you probably have a CDL and towing endorsements for trailers which all equates to $$$.

I have been extremely happy with the mileage of my truck. I was expecting 16 maybe before i bought it. Hopefully it goes up even more when she is finally broken in. Honestly i think the difference between the manuals and the autos on a real world scale is all just #s for sales props. Yes no doubt the autos are rated better but again, for most ppl when are you ever going to actually need to translate more than 600 lbs-ft of torque to the ground. My manual pulls everything i have thrown at it like a dream but i never expect to ever pull near its max tow which is like 17k.

Payload is the weight the truck can haul, not tow.
