For me 18.x MPG is on a flat road @ 75MPH

@65 MPH I can see 21MPG or so but going 65 is WAY too slow for Texas highways :D

Going to work tonight set the cruise at 78, averaged 14.1 miles per gallon with no wind, I wish I could see those kinds of numbers!

i think you guys forget i have a single cab too..the truck only weighs 6400lbs which is a steep drop from you crew cab and especially mega cab owners..even a cc 1500 w/6.4" bed with a few passengers weighs as much as me..i feel like i have a much different experience with the 6.4 hemi than most of you guys from what i read on here...

I usually drive 65 mph on the expressway, I just happened to run late last night so I had to drive faster. The key is I lost at least 1 mpg with the switch to winter fuel.

oh yea, any MPH over 75 for me costs me at least 1mpg.

65 is the sweet spot on my 1500 Hemi but as I mentioned before. 75MPH is the most common speed limit in Texas. Not to mention the toll way area going out of Austin/Houston.
Speed limit there is 85!

TEXAS:favorites13:

In my wife's GLI Autobahn I average 33MPG going about 80MPH or so. Such a fun little car to drive!

I know several with the 6.4 hemi and if your getting 20 your getting well above the average of any I have talked to. Mine was 15 at best ever.

I have automatic diesel and have had all 3 dodge ford and chevy in last several years and this one is the best mileage stock so far. My chevy got better than this after all emmisiions were removed. So far very happy with the truck and mileage.

Averaging 18mpg since I bought it, about 30% pulling a trailer and about 60/40 highway/city. Can't complain as my wife's 1500 is getting the same.

400 miles all flat highway driving at 70-80mph averaged 20.5 on a 2500 2014 mega cab. Wondering how bigger tires will affect mpg?

That's close to what I get. I've been doing 600 mile round trips every weekend since last August driving 75-85 mph and average 21 to 21.5 each way (crew cab).

Larger tires will definitely have an effect on your MPGs.
