2008 dodge cummins 6.7 built suncoast trans no overdrive

Hey guys really need some help here, just got a 08 dodge ram 2500 cummins 6.7 it has a built suncoast trans in it and it will shift good 1-4 sometimes waiting until 1800 rpms to get out of first gear but once u get to 50+ the truck will go into overdrive if its not warmed up yet but it will rev up then down for about 30seconds constantly until it decides it's done with overdrive then it will just stay in 4th gear and u can do 70 at 2600 rpms something not right and I don't have a warantee so I really need some help no check engine light or codes are on

Fluid levels ok in it? Might be worth dropping them a line to see if its something they have seen before.

yeah fluid is ok gonna call suncoast today and see if they have had this happen before, if not then im gonna have it looked at tomorrow

From what I have heard they are an ok supplier to deal with. Hope they will work with you even if you do not show a warranty.

yeah i hope so bc you can tell the tranny is new just by the outsides of it and according to the dealer it only has 2000 miles on it, but well see i got a appointment at the local tranny shop in town so ill know tommorw

Are you running a tuner, or do you know if there was a tuner on the truck before?
I believe Sun Coast has their own tuning for their transmission just like RevMax and ATS. Just a stab in the dark but I wonder if the previous owner flashed the truck back to stock before trading it in. I don't know if a relearn would be required in that instance, but if it is and wasn't done that can make short work of your tranny.
I would check with Sun Coast before having a local shop take a poke at it, the 67rfe is a beast all it's own. That a nice little chunk of coin to drop on a tranny only to sell it 2k miles later.
