Simple question, at what mileage are you having to fill the exhaust fluid? I am at 3500ish miles and already am about on empty on the DEF. This seems a but soon to need more DEF.

My first refill was at 2800 mi, it was last summer and was towing the camper quite a bit. However I now have 3200 mil on this tank (without towing) and have only used 1/4 of a tank.

The standard mileage will be about 8,000 to 10,000 once the engine has reached it's optimal wear in. Until then they like to run a little more dirty thus requiring a little more DEF.

It gets better, so I am told. :)

I am just under 5000 miles and at half

I expect 8-10000 with almost no towing on this one but if you tow it will be more

I think I have read somewhere to expect about 3 percent of fuel used so 1000 liters of fuel 3 liters DEF so depends on fuel economy and driving conditions as to how much used. I can not rememeber if that is correct but or some reason i think I read it somewhere

A fellow RV'er tows a large fifth wheel, with his brand new 2014 3500. He used 5 gallons of DEF, in 1500 miles. My new 3500, has used about 1/4 tank of DEF in 400 miles but it is new.
