Hey guys need some info here. I have 2008 ram 2500 6.7. Everything was all good and then I hooked my 4 Hella lights up and when I turned the truck on the lightening bolt came on and the check guage light. It cranked fine and we went to a school function, cranked again, went thru a drive thru and I turned the truck off and then it wouldn't crank. Battery dead in the drive thu. About 3 hours between install completion and truck dying. I didn't even turn the lights on other than checking that they work. One code was p2503 the other was po63d. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You need a new battery. Mine did exactly the same thing. Pretty much same scenario too.

I would have the batteries tested, but most likely you'll need new ones.

if you didn't need a battery before you would now. once a battery is drained dead its life is cut in half. you may want to see about charging the batteries to get the truck started and checking the charging system once it is running again.

i had both batteries replaced after the code came up. this morning the bolt came back on and voltage dropped. i hauled ass to get the alternator checked and they said it was bad. so i replaced the alternator, cleared the code and a few hours ago it came back on and voltage is dropping again....wtf

could draining the batteries have been bad? i had them checked after the alternator swap and they read good even though the truck died while running

so heres an update......

its fixed, alternator was bad but the problem afterwards was a bad positive terminal on the secondary battery. couldnt believe a $7 piece of metal could go bad
