What CAI is better, a oiled element, or a dry filter?
A buddy says not to run a oiled element because it won't stand up to the velocity the turbo causes.

I take oiled elements and drop kick them into dumpsters, junk 1950's technology that i've seen mess up more MAF sensors than anything. The factory setup is actually a good setup but if you are stuck on an aftermarket I would go with a washable dry filter. My humble opinion.

I agree with oilfieldtrash83.
I personally have never ran one on my truck, and I have yet to come across anyone that does recommend it. I've heard of a lot of problems solved by going back to a dry filter element.
