Hi all - newbie checking in to get a general idea of what to expect for fuel economy on the 2017 PWs.

Based on a few other threads where members posted their overall mpgs on previous years PWs, the range was 12-15. Is that still pretty accurate for those that have a 2017? I've read a few road tests which offered up an overall 12 mpg during their 500 mile trips.

I'm looking to upgrade to a more capable off road truck and I'm leaning toward the PW over the raptor. This truck would be my daily driver and while fuel economy definitely isn't my top concern, I would like to know what to expect.

Can anyone with a 2017 chime in with what they are averaging (city/hwy) so far?

90% city and 12mpg is good until I get skinny pedal happy. I just added a CAI and performance exhaust this week, so it can get better. Also, once the motor gets broken in it will improve as well. I really don't care what it gets above knowing that it has a number so if someone asks. I bought this truck for the sheer fun of owning a beast.

Don't know yet to new to tell, but I have read around 13 mix driving and 14 highway anyway that is what I am hoping for and will be happy with the 6.4 and 4.10's.

With a mix of daily driving in my PW, I'm looking to fill up around 380-390 miles per tank. Then I usually only squeeze in 26-28 gallons. I filled up for the first time a few weeks ago with 92 octane and got around 420 miles before filling up, same driving type.

The computer on the truck says im getting 12.7-13 on the HWY with cruise control on the whole way 250 miles each way...in the city I'm getting 11. I have yet to calculate my MPG manually. I have 2000 miles on mine it's 2 months old.

Something funny has happened with my 2015 lately. Recently I put BFG KO2's on it and expected it to slaughter my mileage. Initially it did but i lve been running lower pressure, 60 in the front and 65 in the rear and it is getting better mileage than ever. Im averaging 13.7 in the city where i was at 12.8. As for towing im around 9-10 with a 35 ft TT behind me. Of course i air up to recommended for towing. I rolled 30k recently and i use midgrade fuel every tank.

Dunno how others get such terrible mileage, I suspect it's their driving.

I run lower pressures in my Toyo 35's as well, and I've seen 12.2mpg just recently towing from Moab back to Boise, Idaho.

13.5 around town and on our trip to Florida we hit a high point of 16mpg over two tanks. :favorites13:

am I missing something, either you have it tuned (I hope) or you are wasting gas. My SRT8 Challenger does not call for 92, hell my tuned 5.7 is on 91 at the moment so what gives?:favorites13:

I meant to say 91, that's the highest we have here locally. Maybe my engine is just further breaking in and loosening up (26k) but it seems to run smoother with 91 and EVIC is around 18.2mpg highway/street (not that that's accurate, but hand calcs reflect better mpg also since using 91).

I get 13 in my 06 1500 RCSB 4wd. Just to put it in perspective how good of mileage you're getting for such a big truck.

I do between 13.x and 15.x, usually I use cruise control and I keep the limits. I live in Houston so it's a mix of everything. And when I think of having 6.4 V8, it's ok.

Less than 500 miles and in Houston as well. Hitting 13 as the average in pretty mixed driving. Actually impressed and considering what all of the yota 1/2 ton guys get at work not really stressing it at this point.

Sitting on 1,600 miles and average 12.4 Mixed driving 60MPH being the fastest in the area I live. But throw my 29ft 5020 Lb TT on the back and it's a 6 MPG at 65 and a whopping 3 MPG at 75...

Heading to Big Bend at the end of the week so 600 miles one way with a 3500 lb pop up. I'll report back on mileage but hoping for more than 6.

Just got back from Big Bend so 1330 miles on the interstate, 70 miles of trails in 4H for the most part, around 160 on the "roads" in the park. This was mostly loaded so 3 kids, one dog and one wife, with the edgestar in the back and extra gas along with everything that is needed for a weeks worth of camping. Drum roll.....10.13 mpg (hand calculated). I'm very sure we overload the camper so we were tugging 5K plus of weight and had fun running Houston and San Antonio traffic both ways so 10 is significantly higher than I anticipated.
