I've got a 2500 but I was curious how you guys were liking the 6.4 in the PW. Anyone find any new mods for the motor yet, intake etc. I know there is some benefit in opening up the exaust as some other 6.4 owners have experienced already

I love it, so far haven't done any engine upgrades but I consitantly get 14-15mpg empty and have more than enough power. The fan makes some noise but other than that I think it's a better match than last years 5.7.

If you need to have Warranty Work done on it will All Dealers Honor it or do you get stuck going to that dealer only?

As long as he purchased a MOPAR warranty, it's good at any dealer nationwide. If your local dealer doesn't sell them PM me and I'll have one of my dealers sell you one over the phone.

thirsty, but for how big it is, plenty of power. i find it much more torquey than the 5.7 and also the 66rfe is so much better than the 65re or whatever was in my 12 1500

I love the 392 :) Power is there whenever I want to spend the gas money.

Stopping the beast has been slightly more challenging a few times when people have pulled out in front of me.

6.4 engine

I traded my 2014 1500 ram with a 5.7 for my current 2016 PW. With the 5.7 I was just averaging 14 to 15 mpg at best. I do almost all my driving in town. hated the throttle lag on that truck but eventually It would go. With the 2016 PW with the 6.4, much better throttle response and it feels like it accelerates better. And this thing weighs about 1000 lb more! Averaging about 10 to 11 mpg. But hey, I have only had it like 3 weeks. I cant keep my foot out of it. Its so fun to drive. Also, bought it a day before we had 18" of snow in 2 days. I went out every day to play in it.
So, im saying, the 6.4 is a great engine for this platform. You will thoroughly enjoy it I believe.

Really like mine so far. We just traded in our 07 Tundra with the 5.7 that ran real strong. The 6.4 Hemi runs way better and more torque.

Decent milage for what it is until you hook up to something. Mine goes down to around 7mpg towing the travel trailer. But then again, I never bought it for the milage

I'm not finding a lifetime warranty information anywhere? Has it been discontinued?

I think the lifetime warranty is dealer based only...

Great with the stock forged aluminum wheels and 33'' tires. I'll be putting 35's and 17x8.5's on next year. I would prefer 4.56's. I'm not sure why RAM changed the gearing on the 5 gens. I would gladly give up 1-2mpg to have 4.56's.

Averaging 15 highway and 12 around town.

What gearing is in the PW now, 4.10s?

Anyone running 4.56 gears and 35" tires? How's the power feel? And what's your average mpg?

Just curious as I have a 6.4 2500 4x4 with 3/1 lift, 295/65r20s and I average 11-12 mpg. I've got 3.73s and from the online plug in charts, looks like 4.56s will put me in 1900 rpm range in 6th when doing 65 mph. I usually drive slow ~65. I've been manually dropping to 5th on the hwy to see how it does and I can run 13-14 mpg at 65 @1900 rpm. I'm thinking 4.56 gears will do better than my 3.73s.

Just looking for someone with 4.56s and 35s to see where they're at with mpg and rpms.

I know I didn't get the truck for fuel economy. But if I can switch gears and put less wear on the trans, better trans shifting, and pick up 1 or 2 mpg - hell why not?
