I have the opportunity to purchase my first Power Wagon and I'm so excited. But I need some help with some choices. I'm looking at a 2013 PW and a 2015 PW both equipped the same way.
I drove both and loved both. I know the 2015 has the 6.4 hemi and the newer suspension and 4.10 rear. The 2013 has the 5.7 hemi with the 4.56 rear with leaf spring rear suspension. Both has the 6 speed transmission. My biggest problem is the price difference between the two I can save $10k for the 2013 PW. I figured if I got the 2013 PW I could get a tuner to help with the hp and torque difference.
I'll be doing some mild off roading and light -medium towing.
I was wondering if it was really worth the extra $10k, if anyone had both or any advice they would be willing to offer. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Get the 6.4. You will be way ahead of us with the 5.7.

What truck do you like better? How many miles on each? There is allot to be said for 4.56 gears. If mileage/condition are roughly the same, 10k is allot of $. I would be leaning toward the 13. Nothing wrong with the 5.7. With gearing taken into account it may be stronger than the 6.4. Maybe someone who has had both will chime in

Did you ever make a decision on the PW?
I want a 2017 bad. Love the paint scheme , reminds of the truck on Simon And Simon

Sorry it took so long to respond. I ended up getting a 2016 PW, true blue in color, fully loaded the only option it doesn't have is the ram boxes. I love this truck. I was thinking about the new decals from the 2017's. But the 2016 is starting to grow on me.

Great choice! I have the 2015 Blue PW Laramie and I love it. I think the 6.4 is the better engine. 4.10 rear is very handy because I tow a 10k travel trailer.

It's an awesome engine, and is very easy and comfortable to drive. I've had 08 F250's and this is nicer than my older Ford. Also had a 08 Chevy Avalanche the PW, I am so much more happier with it does everything. The Avalanche did have a smoother ride but off-road there is no comparison.

I have leased a 2013 & 2015 and just purchased a 2017. and yes the improvements in suspension and power are the way to go.

I just wonder over time how all of those vulcanized 'rubber' swivel points and all the additional track and locator suspension bars will hold up over time.

My '13 is great, and didn't like the later model's flashy 'splash' graphics, and don't really care for the 4.10's or the Cylinder Deactivation.

But the '17s with the 'Simon and Simon' Graphics and Satin black front end are really teasing me.

Then again, that tailgate emblem is HUGE! ...and my truck is doing great and set up just right - going strong at 50k miles and everything I could throw at it. Still purring like a Kitten!
