Hello, just joined the forum. I have a 1980 W200 with a 1987 van 318 swapped into it by the original owner.
The clutch release bearing is rattling really bad so I'm going to replace it and the clutch. I'll be taking all the old parts to the auto parts store since I'm not sure what's original and what's 1987.
I've never done this job before on a 4X4, can anyone give me a rough idea of the disassembly order?
I think I have to remove the transfer case first but any tips would be helpful, thanks.
