Decided that today was going to be the first time for my PW to go off road for a test. After all, it has 800 miles now and needs to be tested....
Went up into the Horse Heaven Hills behind our place to try the truck and to do some shootin'. This image was taken from the top looking back towards the Tri Cites in Washington.
Looking across the Yakima River Valley towards Rattlesnake Mountain. Our place is at the bottom of the hill just above the hood in this picture.
The PW and my buddy's Rubicon parked in the shootin' pit. We were getting ready to try the PW on the little hill just behind the bed of the truck. It doesn't look like much in this picture, but there is a vertical ledge of about 12" right at the top which makes it a little challenging. In addition, it is quite a bit steeper than it looks and there are several holes that have been formed by those who tried but didn't make it.
Don's Jeep coming up the hill:
And over the top:
I have no pictures of the PW coming up the hill, as I was driving and Don has not sent me the pictures he took, but it made it up and over with little to no issue. This little hill is tougher than it looks. I have been up there in my older Jeeps without lockers and have not been able to make it up and over.
So, today I tested the PW lockers, low range, sway bar disco, and everything worked as it should. I'm ready to spend some time in the mountains now. I'm gonna like this truck.
