We have a lot of great scenery around here to pose the Power Wagon in. The maker / vendor of my Brush Guard asked for more pics, so I took some to send in. I hope they end up on their web site for World Wide coverage.

These were at the scenic overlook at Lake Powell. You can see the town of Page, the Glenn Canyon Dam and the gateway to Monument Valley in the background.

In the other few, I risked arrest for Trespassing by running up in the local Golf Course to snap some quick shots on the Green as it has a wonderful bluff behind it.

I intent to grab some serious off roading pics here when I get some weather, to demonstrate that this thing has not been a "garage queen" at all. Hmm, maybe I will include some of the Coral Pink Sand Dunes just to get things going.

Proof that does get off highway farther than the 9th hole!

Actually in Six short weeks, it has been in some pretty strange places for a truck. From lapping the various courses at Willow Springs International Raceway to crawling on Red Rock to being buried up to it's pumpkins in Coral Pink sand after towing through Baker in 117 Degree heat.

And I'm loving every minute of it!

Thanks Guys! I saved my lunch money for 25 years to buy myself a "retirement truck". Almost went with a Raptor, but am SO glad I was able to find this 'Wagon that just rolled off the delivery truck.

I knew it was mine as soon as I laid eyes on it. Haven't regretted it a single second so far.

Like I said, I'll put up more pics of it getting dirty in the coming week or so. I would like to shoot some video, but I buried my GoPro camera in the bottom of a box somewhere and have not been able to locate it yet. Argh.

Yeah, we loaded up a full cab of gals and did a lap on "The Streets" course, then went over and did a lap on "The Big Track". I had been instructing with ExtremeSpeed Track Events for the last Two years or so, so I have it pretty dialed in. But, this was the first time taking the truck out. It was only about 20 hours old at that point.

We caught that Black Z06 Corvette you see parked back there going into Turn 8 after giving them a full front straight's head start. They weren't too happy to have a big truck come howling up on them, especially full of people. We were laughing our butt's off. The BFG's even picked up some rubber off the track and we were chuckin Marbles all over the place.

Obviously the 'Vette driver didn't know what was coming, or wasn't even trying. But, he did look a bit freaked and embarrassed as they were prepping for that evenings 1000' Drag event and there were a lot of people in the stands watching. Good Stuff!

Red Utah Sand is so pretty... especially when a little damp and all stuffed in the BFG's!

:party28:

Went out playing around yesterday. Local buddy showed me a cave he likes to "rough it" it by staying a night or two on a weekend just to get away from the world.

Pretty cool.

BTW, it was in 2WD getting up there, a pull of the lever and it walked itself right on out.

LOVE this truck! :headbang:

Thanks!

We did some playing in a higher speed sand wash, then climbed up to a Antennae tower overlooking Vermillion Cliffs, West of Horse Shoe Bend, where many tourism pics are snapped for Utah / Arizona.

The old steps up the face of the rock ledges were cool, and the 'Wagon cruised right up like a Cadillac, never even slipping a wheel. Some of the steeper climbs, which all seemed to have been washed out at the bottom due to flash flood action were more challenging, as they were abrupt and had quite a large step up.

Much to my surprise, I never did kiss the bottom of the front push bar as I had feared would have happened, as it does rob me of a bit of approach angle. I did finally get my first sandstone scrape on the bottom of the front pumpkin. But, most of the material brushed away with my thumb and it isn't leaking. so all is good. It hit the heavy metal case that luckily has a large diameter of lip around the tin cover. Still learning the underside of the rig... I steered right, thinking the swaybar disconnect skidplate was lower than the pumpkin cover, but was wrong. Next time, I'll go the other way. The rear pumpkin never touched ground all day long.

I only rubbed it's belly once, and it was coming off a sandy overhang, so it glided right off the skidplate, causing no damage and only packing the skidplate full of red sand as well.

Thankfully, I did not hang up on any of the body under the cab, as I have yet to find any rock rails to my liking.

So, all is good. And it was a great day. SUPER capable rig. Right out of the box. And I only aired down to 35 fr / 30 rr just so it wouldn't ride so rough on the washboard.

Took a spin through the forest up by Flagstaff, AZ. yesterday, and then took a nice afternoon drive today down around the perimeter or Lake Powell on the National Park Service land. Very pretty.
