I am looking at 2 different powerwagons and wondering which one would be better? 1 is a 2013 with the 5.7 and 4:56 gears and the other is 2014 with the 6.4 and 4:10 gears. I do tow with my trucks, so is the 6.4 or 5.7 with the gear ratios going to be the best all around truck?

I'd say the 6.4 w/4:10. Gas mileage w/4.56 is horrible I heard 8-9 not towing the new 6.4 was made w/torque to tow not as good as the cummins but if you don't tow a lot or not too often it should be good to go. If your looking for something to tow all the time and big loads go Cummins and skip the PW.

Where did you hear that? I frequent the power wagon forum every day and I have only seen those mileage numbers by 3rd gen 6 speed trucks with 37's. The mileage is a little less with the pre 2014 trucks but the differences are not that big. The biggest question is what are your plans as far as lifts/off road use?

From a buddy with an 11 in Maine(he bought his when I bought my Cummins w/ only got 10-11 mpg btw) and another buddy in Nh w/a 12 or 13 both real world hadn't researched it on the web though so maybe we just aren't as light on the skinny pedal but the web must be full of guys driving like old ladies as I never see the same mileage everyone else claims except when I had my vw tdis or that old geo metro that got close to 50mpg.

I only tow twice a year about 7500lbs , so I was thinking a PW because of the lower gears.

Power Wagon is an awesome truck. But you certainly don't need one to tow 7500# twice a year. You could do that comfortably in a 1500.
