I'm looking for recommendations on a performance muffler. My interest currently is on a 14" magnaflow single in and duel out. I have a 2015 Hemi Express Crew Cab with a 5.7L and a cold air intake system. Part numbers would help greatly. Thanks.

That 14" is gonna be pretty loud if that's what you are looking for. If you want it a bit mellower, consider the 18" can.

I'd be really concerned with drone with the 14" can, probably a bit less with the 18" can. One way to attenuate that is a small reso at the back of each tailpipe.

The part numbers are on Magnaflow's website.

I have the 22", part number 12588. Not too quite, and no drone.

I have the Solo Performance single in dual out on mine. Nice deep rumble and moderate sound at take off. Some drone in 8th gear when cruising, but not so much that the radio can't wash it out.

I have the magnaflow 18''. Tried flowmaster 2 chamber and flowmaster 50 series delta flow. I ended up with magnaflow. Drone isn't bad and don't sound as bad as flowmaster when mds kicks on.

I have the 14" Maggy (P/N: 12198). It's got a nice rumble to it, not obnoxious, does drone a tad in 8th (one man's drone is another man's rumble), sounds good WOT. I honestly wish it was a bit louder at idle or cruising.

Mag 22 with rear resonators removed. No drone, and not to quiet

Im thinking of swapping my 22" for a 14" because I just want more rumble, but all I ever hear from people is that the 14" has drone at highway speeds. 90% of these people still have MDS activated, which would make sense. I have my MDS turned off and some people say as long as MDS is not on you wont really hear a drone. How is your truck setup?

I have an 18" magnaflow direct fit kit from Boesch Built that I just took off. Sounded great and drone wasn't bad, but my wife drives my truck on a lot of work trips now so I went back to stock.

It's in great shape and used for less than 20k miles. If you want to save money over brand new, send me a message.

I have virtually the same truck that you have w/ the 14" magnaflow & get NO DRONE. I never drive w/ MDS on. To me the 14" is too quiet but should sound perfect w/ lt's & ory though. Like said above, what some hear as drone others hear as rumble. Sound is subjective

I recently did a muffler delete and I love it. I used a Mufflex DODM80 for my 2016 ram 5.7. There's drone there yes but if you get into eco you hardly hear it.

I have MDS active with resonators intact. The slight drone in 8th is not unbearable (I kinda like it). As I stated before I wish the 14" Maggy was a bit louder. I will be adding 5" tips before or after the holidays to see what that does. If I still don't like it, I'll be switching to the Flowmaster Super 44 (P/N: 8430452) or Borla Pro XS (P/N: 40349).
