The missing section of wiring for the fogs is only like 16"-18" so it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't just leave it in.

I think its dumb they don't prewire it for anyone to add it.

Stuff like this is more to force people at the point of sale to select a higher trim model with more options and profits.

My 2nd ram was an SLT and there was a kit for it that was plug and play.

And for 2013+, now there no kit. Hence my original statement.

Every year, the trend is to offer less and less one off kit options and the push is to move things into trim level packages. So it you want fog lights, you need to get into a higher trim package.

Reffering to the bumper on my truck currently

Yeah you'll need the bumper with the openings for the fogs. Couple places to find them car-part.com you'll be able to find used for a good price, rockauto.com you'll be able to find replacement and maybe new oem one's and eBay.

I dont want to switch my bumper out. I wonder if i could buy LED light pods and make my own mounts and put them in the air damn, and use all of the rest of what you have listed to wire them, use the jumper and splice them into the LED pods instead of those lights. then wire the rest factory and flash it, the use that factory light switch for them.

Would something like that work do you think?

That would work. Mopar used to sell a fog light kit (09-12) that mounted the lights there.

do you know if the bumper needs to come off to install them, and those mounts would work in my current bumper?

How would i go about splicing them just break open the pig tail and solder them in?

Also what light size would go there, could you find me a link? I know nothing about light bars

I don't think you could get those to work. I don't know much about what fits in 1500. You may want to start a new thread about led light bars on 1500

Or what I did

3- cut the end off the jumper, tie the 2 grounds together and find a good grounding point. Then extend the 2 leads to the tipm (or whatever it's called now) and tap into the foglight feed wires in slots 23 and 24. They will be white/yellow and white/orange. Be careful because the headlight wires are the same color.

Do you still have a copy of the Foglight wiring diagram saved somewhere now that we have no access on TechAuthority?

PS: The bracket part number is not listed for the 1500. Is it the same as the 2500?

I believe I have a printed copy for 14/15 rams fog lights. I know 13s are different. PCT should be able to help with that. I'll see if I can find them. The fog light brackets are the same for 09-12 1500s/10-16 2500/3500s

No rush, just whenever you can. I am just gathering my notes and saving what I can (took me forever to find your thread again).

I plan on adding non-oem LED lights in the tow Hook cut-outs using the factory switch and wiring like you did once I get to it. LED light bars in bumper (by Swine)

Driving at night (3rd Shift) really pushes me to make this my next mod.

Same for 2013-15's.

The connector that is needed is the male end
