I have a 2017 1500 express that calls for 194 bulbs in the 2 license plate holders. I'm not sure what is up with mine. When I untwist the housing, I can then remove a gray 90 degree elbow from a black connector. I can't however seem to get the bulb out of the gray elbow without feeling like I'll break it. Any ideas on what may be going on? I'd post a pic but can't seem to be able to do that either.

It’s just tough, I felt the same way, it will come out

Thanks. I'll order the bulbs and jerk out the stock when the LED's come in. Lol

Convert, for now.

small
Saw a video on Diode Dynamics, they wrapped it (the bulb) in tape, and pulled it out.

I purchased a set of 921 for my 2016 RAM 1500 Limited reverse bulbs. They base which goes in the socket is to small. After reading around I see some people have used 7440 and 7443 can someone confirm which bulb it actually is?

Thank You

Well, I just took my headlights out, everything states that the 2017 RAM Sport with Projector lights is a 2012 bulb, it's not on mine. The low beam (Projector bulb) is a HB3/9005, and the high beam is the same bulb. So it's kind of odd that so many people have different bulbs. I do have outer (Projector - low beam) and inner (standard - high beam). I guess it's time to reorder bulbs. I'm not going to cut the base, it's easier to replace it or the entire bulb and get the correct one.

Map lights - 921
An admin may want to update the first post, as it seems the OP hasn't been active in a while.

There is no way of fitting a 921 into the assembly... at least this is the case in my 2012 1500. A 921 sticks down way too far and the lens won't pop back on. My truck definitely has 194s in the map lights.

Does the 4th GEN around 2011 have only two bulbs in rear tail lights? I am importing 2011 RAM 1500 from US and wonder how the tail lights work. Seems it has only reverse bulb and a bulb for brake and turn lights. Does it have regular (position) red tail light so that the vehicle back is visible at night?

When looking at the Luyed LED bulbs should we be using the Non-Polarity ones or normal ones?

I bought the ones linked in my post above, which I believe was link from Boosted Motorsports. I’m not sure if they are non-polarity or not, I put them in and they worked. No codes.

Do they not make LED's in 5K? Every one I'm seeing is 6K or 6.5K

The bulb you linked for the passenger rear light doesn't fit, at least in an '18. Wrong link? Theres no slot, it's a circuit board.

On Boosted Motorsports video it was also a board, he shows how to change it out. On my ‘17 it was a festoon bulb. Much easier to change than a board.
