How often are you guys changing the filter.
I did the in cab filter mod when my truck was about a month old and that was about 4 months ago.
It's not very dusty where I live just curious when yall are changing them.

for my driving - all city, I change once a year - 1.5 years. on past cars, hasn't really looked to need changing when I change at that point.

I check mine every three months...depending on time spent in the desert on dirt roads.

I honestly haven't seen much of a difference in anything once I did this mod… What changes does it bring about for y'all?

Less than 20 bucks for this mod, glad to finally get it done. If you don't get scrapes and cuts then props to you. Cabin filters are USUALLY recommended for 15k miles or 1 year. I would check it every few months. And go with charcoal impregnated filters as well to help with odors coming into the truck

Did this to mine a couple weekends ago. Was a pain getting the knife over to the right-hand side of the box to complete the cut.

Gonna do it to my buddy's truck as soon as, in his own words, "Santa (his wife) brings the Dremel she promised". We're thinking that might make it a little easier.

Not unexpected, but it really does cut down on the ability of the fan to move air through the vents.

just did this mod, feels like it does not have enough air flow with the filter in.

easily done on my 14 outdoorsman. The cover was easy to do, just press firmly in the center and then press inward on both the clips and it snaps right on.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Honestly I doubt that any of the service technicians will even know it was a mod and not factory.
