This thread is how I added auxillary switches to my 2016 RAM 2500 with a 6.4. My truck did not have provisions for the auxiliary switches from the factory and the parts folks at my dealer said it was impossible to add the switches after the fact. After a lot of research I began my quest to prove them wrong. The switch in my truck had traction control, tow/haul, rear park assist buttons on top and a blank panel on the bottom?

My factory switch

The switch I needed with the auxiliary switches on the bottom row was PN 68241343AA-001

Both switches use a single connector and i was able to incorporate my harness into the existing connector by slicing into the appropriate wires.

I found a wiring diagram on Ram Builder for the 6.4 and it* helped with the design and building my harness. In the factory connector I connected to the following wires.

Aux1 - pin 3 br/or
Aux2 - pin 2 br/vt
Aux3 - pin 11 br/wt
Aux4 - pin 10 br/gy
Aux5 - pin 12 tn/br

Since I introduced my own harness from the switch to my relays, I did not have to add the sales code for the switch. The switch itself applies a ground to the coil side of the relay when applied. Auxiliary #1 & #2 will function with the key off, 3-5 require the key to be on to function.

Here is a couple pictures of how I ran the harness through the firewall by going through the clutch delete plate. It is plastic and easy to drill.

Below are pics of the relay/fuse block I installed to support my switches.

Purchased from Amazon -Auto fuse box 6* relay holder.

Currently I* am only running Aux1 and Aux2 on the switch for my lightbar and for the led lighting I am about to install in my bed. (The other buttons are wire to the relay bank waiting on another project.)
The mounting bracket I fashioned from a piece of aluminum angle I had laying around.

Hope this helps you install your switches.

Nice write up. Can you add a link to the fuse block you used?

Nice write up. Looks very clean and neat. I have this project on my wishlist.
Are any of the AUX switches latching or MOM only?

For anyone looking to do this there are more than a few part numbers. In my case I only have
tow haul and traction control, so I have part 56054539AA. If you have other options up top yours may be different. If you are unsure contact Benny for the right part.

Thanks for posting your project. You have done what my dealer has told me for 4 years couldn't be done without a $3000 wiring harness change.

How do I find the wiring diagrams and part number for the aux switch panel for my Ram? 2015 3500 Mega Cab DRW 6.7Cummins. Currently My panel has switches for traction control, exhaust brake and park assist, bottom row blank.
Its a Big Horn if that matters for that part or wiring.

I pulled the wiring diagram for the truck from rambodybuilder.com and then selected my year model. The guides from 2004 thru 2017 are there. If you look under the electrical section you will find a listing for Upfitter Electrical Instructions, then find Upfitter Circuit Schematics.

Yoda helped me determine the correct part number for my truck in another thread. There were also some other part numbers posted that may help you. Below is a link to that thread.

http://www.ramforum.com/showthread.php?t=94521

You can go over to the vendor page and contact Benny @ All Mopar Parts and he can help you with the part number.

For anyone that wants full sets of schematics for 2013 1500 and 2015 2500 trucks (I did see aux pdc and the extra relays in there), .. I have uploaded and linked them in my thread as well as other useful links ...

My 2013+ Shared Schematics and other OEM Info

** 2013 Ram 1500 TA Schematics (full set and tons of connector sheets) - added 1/18/17

** 2015 Ram 2500 TA Schematics (full set, no connector sheets) - added 1/18/17

If anyone has any other full .pdf sets of schematics (ie 2014, 2016, 2017) they want to share, PM me and we can arrange for me to upload them.

Have fun!

In looking at your diagram I have a question? The diagram shows all relays connected to the battery, this implies to me that all circuits are hot all the time? How is it that some circuits are are only live with the key?

For the record, you did not prove the dealership wrong, it was not a simple plug and play solution for them and doing a reverse engineering mod like you have done is not in their scope of work or willing to take on liability for it.

Regardless, I admire your ingenuity in getting this done.

My relays do have access to power at all times but they are not energized until the auxiliary button is depressed applying the ground to the coil side of the relay which allows for the activation of the accessories. In my truck aux 1&2 will apply the ground with the key on or off. Aux 3-5 will only appy the ground with the key on. This appears to be how the default mode is designed. According to the information I read on rambodybuilder.com trucks with the factory upfitter installed can program the state of all of the buttons through the EVIC. Since I dont have the code flashed in my truck I do not have this option so I cannot verify it.
