Tried this on my 2010. The tape didn't come off very easy because it has been on there a little longer. Went and picked up an eraser wheel for like $12 and the whole job only took a few min.

Did mine today. Did the doors and tailgate. I left the Hemi badges on.

It took about an hour to remove the four side door badges and the Big Horn and 4 X 4 on the tailgate.

Very happy with the results. Much cleaner look.

Used Goof Off. Was worried that it was going to harm the paint but I did not scrub real hard and as soon as I was done I wiped it off with wet microfiber rag.

Something that helped me a great deal was after I removed the letters I did not put the hair dryer on the tape very long maybe 10 seconds just to warm the tape, I also used a plastic putty knife and pulled on the tape as I scraped with the putty knife, the trick is not to try to go too fast.

I also used the putty knife to scrape the adhesive residue after I got the bulk of the tape off. Putty knife was very helpful. But make sure you only use a plastic one.

Warning, if you run the hair dryer too long it will make the letters stick worse, just get them warm not hot. The very first letter I did I got too hot, it was a pain. After I got through the first one the rest were pretty easy because I did not rush or use the hair dryer too long.

Make sure you have plenty of fishing line or dental floss because it tends to break. Fishing line worked better than dental floss.

I had never done anything like this before.

It got dark before I got a chance to get pictures.

On the 2014 can the ram emblem on the tailgate be taken off? Is there holes under the ram badge?

Anyone removed their chrome molding strips? Are there holes underneath?

OP thank you for the video. I wasn't going to do this since I always fudge something up, however, this method was super easy. Everything was fast and I would have been done in a 1/4 of the time had it not been for the stupid hemi badges. The glue on them was a mother to get off for some reason when compared to the regular ram 1500 emblems. I had to used bug and tar remover to get the glue from the hemi badges off. Anyways here's a pic of it. I've only had the truck a month and am still trying to figure out my mods.

So now that everyone is doing it Im leaving mine on!
No I'm not!
I've always used hair dryer and wax&grease remover I added fishing line in on my last removal. Still like my original removal method over all.

3M Speciality Adhesive Remover works quite well too. One thing I'd like to point out is that if you care about fine scratches in your paint, use a cleaner microfiber towel when wiping the adhesive away, and fold as you pick up the pieces to prevent marring.

Just did mine today. Used a little goo gone but I found that some glass cleaner worked pretty well at getting the little residue off. Thanks for the video.
