You should've built an extension mount. That's what I'm doing with mine. Just measure and then cut a piece of flat stock to size. Speaking of which I still need to mount mine since the lights have been sitting on the dining room table for over a month

is it just me or are those lights not completely centered...They right one looks to be closer to the RAM emblem than the left one....

You're right.

My left one - as you look at it - was off a tad. I moved it about an inch and a bee's **** towards the center of the grille.

I've remounted it since and now it's good.

An extension mount might have been better, but I am a bit stubborn at times and liked the whole drilling idea. Lot of headache now that I look back at it. Guess one man's mistake is another man's lesson right?

Looks awesome guys! Thanks for the pics. I am gathering all the bits I need to jam some lights behind my grille soon. I am putting a slightly different twust and using 4 slightly smaller lights. Hopefully it will turn out. I have to fab up some mounts at work to put the lights in the center of the grille though.

This has given me the urge to get the aux lighting I want, and save some money at the same time. Im gonna get a set of HELLA 500's behind the grill.

Looks good! I've been thinking about adding a LED light bar behind my RBP mesh grille. Anyone done this? Pics?

Really old, I know. But "bee's ****" made me laugh.

Hey guys, reviving an old thread here. I have a 2500 with a slat grill and I am considering installing lights behind the grill. Are their any issues with the grill blocking the lights and causing dark spots or other problems with your light pattern?

Lights look great guys, I just picked up some daylighters and fitted them in the grille without much difficulty (this thread was a lot of help). I am having a helluva time running wires though, can y'all post up pics of your cable management/how you got the wires inside? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
