Anyone ever have an issue with a blower motor making a squeaking sound when you run the fan (Happens at any speed, you just cant hear it if the fan is up high)? I'm wondering if its possible to get at the motor and replace it without disassembling the entire interior of the truck. It's not the loudest sound in the world, but now that I've heard it, I cannot tune it out and it bothers me to no end. If anyone has had this issue and fixed it, any info would be appreciated.

It is easy to get the blower motor out. It is right by the passengers feet. You can pull it out and try to lube it or something but it probably just needs to be replaced.

Thanks, I'm assuming its relatively simple to unbolt and disconnect.

Mine started squeaking on and off on the two lowest speeds recently. I intend on letting warranty deal with it whenever I get around to bringing it in to a dealer.

Mine started about a week ago, just waiting to see who's the cheapest when it comes to a replacement blower. :)

Mine's a 2011 and I'm out of warranty. Can you let me know who you end up going with? Thanks

Lol, mine was out of warranty the first year of ownership. Now I'm whoever has the part online, here I come. I'm hopeful that one of our vendors that carries this part sees this, and helps us out. I'm sure as many of us as there are, we should be able to get a group discount. :)

Thanks. The OEM one gave up after about 5 years apparently. I wonder how the aftermarkets would hold up.

Mine doesn't squeak, it has this annoying ticking sound like something is caught in there hitting the blades as the spin by. I have pulled my blower motor and searched, cannot find what is causing the noise.....anyone having this issue?

Just a heads up...I went with an aftermarket HVAC blower in my ‘07 MC that I no longer have and the replacement was noisier than the original. Different noise waaaaaay more annoying considering the part was new. I’m sorry I can’t remember the manufacturer. Got it it from Rock Auto and it was supposed to be OEM replacement but it really was a ****.

Similar thing happened when I replaced the blower motor in my '01. Put in an Auto Zone one. It wasn't loud, but it did not move as much air as the original. If it happens to me again, I'll replace it with a Mopar.

Go with the oe one they'll hold up better than the aftermarket generally and a lot of the aftermarket are noisier. Easy job. 3 bolts and a plug. Stick your head in the passenger footwell and look up. Some trims have a cover in that area that you have to remove, but yours is a 2011 so it wont.
