So after a very messy oil change, I spent some time looking for an oil filter relocation setup. Is there a kit already out there for the 4th gens? I would love to have the filter come inside the engine bay. (preferable where the stock air box is)
The best I could find is a Trans-Dapt 1127 Oil Filter Relocation Kit. Has anyone on here used this before?

Where did you end up mounting your filter?

You can see the filter mount in the picture. It's mounted to the frame rail

The picture didn't load up the 1st time. Looks good!

Won't be doing this for a while since I just changed my oil.
Have you had any issues with it?

After it's installed start the engine and immediately check for oil pressure. If there's no oil pressure you need to swap the hoses on the filter mount, like the directions tell you to do in bold letters. I disassembled it for a maintenance reason and put the hoses on backwards then drove around the block with no oil pressure before I realized what I had done, luckily no damage.

There's an entire thread detailing installing/using this kit on "the other forumz". It's in the "Dodge Ram Forum - Mod Zone - Custom Dodge Ram Mods - Dodge Ram Performance" > "Custom Dodge Ram Performance Mods - Engine - 5.7 HEMI V8" forum, titled "Oil Filter struggle and remote filter kit install", dated 11/18/17. Sorry about the lack of a link, but this forum does not allow linking to what they see as the competition.
