I just installed a nylon screen door material behind the grill and the screen covers all four radiators on my 2014 RAM 3500 Laramie 4X4 with the 6.7 Diesel. I was concerned about taking off the grill to mount the screen on the grill mounts. But after I used the web site below, it turned out to be a 5 minute job:

I've used the same kind of screen on my other vehicles and it works great. During wash jobs, the bugs and beetles just wash out onto the ground. I've not had any bent or damaged radiator fin damages.

Have any pictures of how the screen is mounted? Sounds like a damn good idea.

Just did the same on mine a few days agoon my 5.7. I mounted aluminum door screen with zap straps between the louvers that close when the motor is cold and the radiators.
Didn't have to take anything off except the black rubber top cover. I just reached down and tied it to some kind of crossmember at the bottom and the same at the top. You can't even see it unless you're looking for it.

Fantom: I have done this same mod the next day after bringing my Ram Home.
I just doubled up the black screen and zip tied at all 4 corners and zip tied to top part of radiator--> both corners and middle.

I as well have done this to all the families autos.

I suppose this isn't a bad idea at all.
I did this on my '93 Dakota (first truck) all those years ago...

Thats funny, my first dodge and first truck was a 93 dakota 318. I loved it so much, and beat it so hard! It was great, never ever broke and i was far from the first to have a go :shooter:
Sold it to get a ram, been hooked on the hemi ever since :burnout:

this is something i wish i could have done on my old truck because it was a 2008 ram and the grill was more open... on my 2014 big horn its a lot more closed off and the radiator is further back. not sure if it needs protection from the bugs or not.

I can dig up pics of my Jeep KK. I didn't think my pickup needs it.
I used aluminum screen from a satellite dish and zip tied it.
What I think my pick up needs is head light lens protection.
Somebody PM suggestions thanks

I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that!:) I've used an old outdoor PA speaker grille before. Worked & looked great on my 04 Dakota.

Just browsing DIYs and noticed there was no pics!
I replaced my honeycomb inserts with thin aluminum gutter screen from HD to keep bugs out. Bugs in AK are terrible, and this keeps a huge majority of them out of my radiator area. Also, took a rattle can to it so I change the accent color however often I want!
