Ok so I have the standard taillights in my truck. A friend of mine backed into a trailer and broke his LED tailights. Completely broke the red lens on the outside of it. After I got him a new set he gave me the one good light and the broken one. The broken one still works as advertised.
My question is will the red lens from the non LED light work with the LED style? Like if bake the tail light lens off and then reseal it onto the LED. It looks like it would work. I know that I will have to build a wire harness to complete the install and that wont be hard. But I wont start that if the lens does not work.
