Very cool! Im thinking i may need to do mine in white! but since white looks goofy it its TOO white compared to the rest of the truck....what do you guys think about a satin white? kinda disguise the shade difference if any?

Dupli color makes a white that is really close to your factory color and you can get it at advanced auto

The lense do a pretty good job of breaking up color difference

just stay away from their clearcoat.......it yellows. Get some spraymax 2K clear.

MAN... you DID make it sound easy! If anyone thinks painted headlights are expensive, That's because this is a Mega PITA mod. I've done this once before, and its about as much fun as I remember. I am taking a break because my arms are shakingfrom trying to pull it apart LOL

for a short bit.........I had to wear a brace (like one used for tennis elbow) due to opening too many lights. I was doing a ****LOAD of OEMs for about 3-4 weeks......and.........well, I just pulled something. I thought I really messed something up for a bit!

And......I remember after doing my first set I said "never again will I open another headlight". I still laugh when one is stubborn and almost gets thrown across the room. LOL

What do you think about color matching paint code PRH which is i believe inferno red crystal pearl. I have the ST model but i added chrome grille inserts, fog lights, chrome wheels, chrome steps, and i haven't de-badged my truck. Should i leave them chrome or consider color matching?

2 questions!
Is it legal to take off that yellow turn signal thing and not have one?
And is it okay to paint the inside of the turn signal bowl or is that bad?

Thinking i might take this on today to give me motivation to start posting my mods! Anyone got any extra tips before i take the plunge? Im still deciding if ill do black with color match flame red rings or just black with color match side marker.

What do you think guys?! I know now after doing them that if i did them again they would be a lot better but for a first timer im not complaining! I just wish they had some projectors slapped in there!

Yeah I painted the bulb cover (wishing they were color match projectors!) hopefully the paint won't burn off. Also or ram-head be careful to cook the headlights on the lowest shelf or complete bottom of the oven, I accidentally burnt the top of one of my lights by having it too high, and if they are heated correctly they should separate pretty easily just make sure to take your time and be patient. Keep beer on hand you'll need it! And only do it if you are okay with buying new headlights all together!
