The Bilsteins came with installation kits washers, bushings, stem, and lock nut - do I have to use the washers and bushing supplied or can I use the OEM ones? It doesn't seem like the bushing supplied will fit on the shock, maybe I'm getting the orientation wrong? The only part I was planning on using was the new locknut.

I have a spinning lower nut on the driver side can't hold it in place, how do I remove this fricking thing?

Got the OEM shocks out but one of the lower bolts spinning freely, pretty sure this should be welded in place, how am I going to be able to tighten this bolt if its not welded? I don't have a welder and don't know anyone that does. Any suggestions?

One of my bolts broke off, I punched to old nut out & put a new nut & bolt in, I used a 3/8" ratchet with an extension.
I know your is spinning but cut it off or whatever needed & just replace it.

& the washers & bushings should fit that came with the shock, but using the old ones as long as they are good is ok.

Thanks man, I ended up just buying a new bolt and nut, it still spun a little but eventually got it tight.

Drivers side install is done, but on passenger side I can't seem to tighten the top shock bolt, can't tell if the bushing is spinning or what. I jacked up the truck so that I could extend the shock and compress the bushing but still can't vet this sucker tight. Basically there are no threads showing and the washer/bushing spin freely. Any ideas?

did look online & some do come like that.

Do your original bushings fit better?
No they are kind of loose and are 10 years old, these ones are a tighter fit, weird that the driver side was OK and this side isn't, could it be a height difference?

That is the *****.

I would take it out, & check the height of the stud with the bushings on & make sure there is nothing else in the way.

Fixed! Stuck an Allen key in the top of the piston and tightened the nut with a crescent wrench.

Do you remember if you used the supplied little metal cylinder deal that came with the install kit? I just installed mine this morning and I have no idea what that piece is for.
