one of my favs right hear . question do they make different colors of clay bar . i have never tried this but i think i will now .

They're mostly one shade or another of tan. The process is the same though. I always use the mothers clay bar. No particular reason, I just like it.

Advance, VatoZone, Pepboys, Checkers, etc. Under $20 for a kit with the bar, some lube, and a towel to wipe your junk off with.

yup, before the clay hits the paint its needs some sort of lube - detail spray works great. Some use a soapy water concoction, not much soap. I make my own detail spray with ONR and use that when I clay.

Also - different colors sometimes mean different types of clay. Mild vs aggressive, etc.

True true, I know mine needs a bath and some loving but its been so dry here its been nothing bust a dust cloud.

I have been polishing on mine some and using 2000 grit sand paper. The claybar looks like a simpler way to go.....

totally different animals there.

Color sanding (wet sanding, whatever you want to call it) - is GREAT for removing orange peel, etc.

Clay is a simple 1 hour deal to remove junk in the paint.

not to say that I don't want to color sand the **** out of my 2010........
