I'll be installing hid's 35w/6000k bulbs with ballasts. Haven't seen a diy on it here. So I will edit and proceed on saturday. 10/1/2011. with pix, of course.

Yes it is!! I think I can cross a couple wires and I will be good to go.
O5singlecab - nick, gets the credit and the nod here. It may need to be researched farther, but it makes sense. The stock wiring are /can be crisscrosseed with some hid set up's.

here are a few pix, final pix will be up tomarrow night :)
The kit is fairly straight forward.Mounting with self tapping screws made that part a breeze. Disassemble both lamps. one nut in the fender well, and 2 screws on the inner skirt. 03-08 I think. The headlamp will pop out with a pry tool or a well gripped tug . BECAREFUL with the pry tool.

The reason i believe you had the wires crossed is cause the high beams are stock color where as when you turn your light on it shines the highbeam lights(halogen) you should be able to get the HIDs when turning on the high beams. So in order to get the high beams going you need to switch up the wires in the oem port. Same problem i had. Which Todd, owner of the company i think, helped me out on that. Usually with wiring if something is wrong, its alwasy a simple fix. But you never think it is. Lol

I'm kinda stumped on this one though.

Honestly, the 02-05s I can definitely see an issue with the stock plugs. 9007 plugs sometimes are wired for 9005.........which is backwards. H13s are one way. Period, nothing close!

maybe he left the high beams on lol. but if both high beams are on it means he switched it up somewhere.

Well with some crafty test light maneuvering, matt9(lb37) We had too omit the resistors, turns out they fried the original ballasts. (they were hooked up right) But they clearly were the culprit. We took them off, And used the ballasts from the fog lamps. I'm really happy with the results. See for your selves!!

JJ's pretty good with HID help, he helped me install/aim mine over the phone.
Agreed, he was spot on with the harness requirements. But , my ballasts were inoperative til I switched them. Dunno how it happened, I had hooked up resistors per his instructions, and had everything grounded. But they look awesome! :)
