Took me about 15 minutes. Doesnt look pretty but its installed. I will figure out a better way soon but it was raining out and i wanted to get it done. I didnt get install pics but you can see what i did and its not hard at all. Any Q's, just ask. Id be happy to answer them

On the 02 does your pcv hose go into the intake manifold or the intake tube?

it goes to a tube in the back which goes, somewhere lol i dont exactly know. i havent been under the hood much of the truck

I'm thinking it goes into the back of the intake.

Either way, fix the mount and You're good as far as I'm concerned.

it goes to the intake manifold right behind the throttle body. theres another hose, crankcase breather hose, that goes to the intake

it needs work lol but it serves its purpose. it was raining and i just wanted it in. i need to sit and think of how to do it. i also need to make a heat sheild for the intake. damn thing gets hot and i really didnt think about engine heat. in my mind aluminum stays cooler than plastic but i didnt think about the engine bay heat

I chose a plastic cai bc metal gets hot quicker and holds heat longer.

I built my CAI out of PVC, welded all the seams and wrapped it with heat shield tape from Thermotec. I assume it's keeping it cool. I don't have any reason to think it's not.

Got my catch can installed today and changed the pcv valve. There was definitely oil in the pcv hose so this should help/work. I had to make a bracket bc i couldn't find a good place to mount it so here's the pics.

Quick update.... The catch can works!!!! I put about 100 miles on it and I have a small amount of oil in the can.

That's what I thought. I wish I had tried it sooner, especially considering there is small particles in the oil too. But at least we know it will work on 3rd gen 4.7's.

Here's how much oil I have captured in about 600 miles or so, can was about 1/3 full. This is a 16.9 oz bottle.
