This mod is to shut off the annoying chimer that activates when you aren't wearing your seatbelt. I got this info from research online so i dont deserve the credit. I only am posting because i couldn't find a thread on it here and hope it can help someone out.

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).
1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any
position except On or Start, buckle the driver’s seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait
for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the
ON position, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver’s
seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending
with the seat belt buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn on
while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt.
It may be necessary to retract the seat belt.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A
single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.

By far my most favorite thing I did. I actually did this right after inspection the day after I got my truck haha

Many years ago when we first got a seat belt law in NY, I wasn't good about using it. Then one day I got a ticket. After that I got into the habit of using the belt. Hell, now buckling up is a reflex and I don't even think about it.

Also, when I was a volunteer firefighter I saw a lot of mangled people without seat belts at auto accidents. Changes your mind about things.

Seatbelt Chime Delete

This also worked on my 2012 challenger and my 2012 jeep wrangler. I actually still wear the seat belts but if I am driving around the neighborhood or offroad in the jeep I like the option of not listening to the annoying chime.

2013: Have tried this but with NO luck! What the Hell could I be doing wrong???

I assume the "lock" position is the same as "off"????

It is in the manual at least on my 2009. Check out your manual I would think it is in there how to do it in a 2013.

Thanks for this DIY! I live in an apartment complex and sometimes I just double park in front when bringing stuff in. It's annoying to buckle for a 200 foot drive and hear the dinging constantly.

Thanks for this, worked great. I wear my seatbelt out on the road but sometimes in the neighborhood I don't put it on immediately or sometimes I like to go sit in my truck and eat lunch at a park or something and that chime goes off and drives me nuts.
