Console Removal

Ill be puttin cab lights on my Ram later on today, however, Id like to find out how to remove the over-head console on my 99 Ram in order to do the wiring.. Thanks!

I've havent had mine off of my 96...LOL...but I would imagine if you pull the lenses off the MAP lights and pull the bulbs out, the screws that hold it up are on there...

On a 1997 its pretty easy.
Mine has two Phillips head screws at the back side, closest to the windshield. After you take those out, slide the whole thing towards the back of the truck a few inches and the console should come free.

on a 99 where the remote goes there are 2 pinch clips .....pinch then together and pull then slide it twards the windshield and its out...no screws or anything as such
