I thought I seen a thread on step by step repair for the plenum gasket but cannot locate.
I have a 02 with the 5.9 and have a oil leak that I cannot locate.Based on the the numerous posts i have read it pointed to the plenum gasket needing to be replaced but have seen so much info that I have information overload.
What is the best plan of attack ?
thanks

Look in the 01 fsm for the repair. It's In the sticky at the top of the page.

Here. Ignore everything you've read and start here with a clean slate.

Tech Section has a download of the 2001 factory service manual. Follow the procedure there but with hughes aluminum plate or ebay plate. Either way get FelPro gaskets. New intake bolts, don't reuse

I would do this as well while you're in there. Smiles per gallon will increase but miles might decrease unless you keep your foot out of it. :)

^^ not a mod I would bother with but to each his own. More like do the timing chain, waterpump, bypass hose all the extras in that sticky.

The set both gears and the chain.

Some Mopar performance part numbers for you. Great parts for a very good price.

TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER part # P5007709 30.00

Double Roller Chain and Sprocket Set part # P5249267 58.00
