I already know I need to fabricate an S-Bolt so it fits on the tb, but is there anything else I'll need? I've read online about replacing the PCV with a breather filter, but other than that is there really anything else I need to do?

They sell kits to add small round filters to the pcv hose.
as for anything else, you just have to make sure it doesnt fall off the TB

Nope. The edelbrock 10x2 round element from any parts store works pretty plug and play with a spectre s bolt (also found at these parts stores). 14x3 however is the only way to get one with a cotton filter instead of paper and requires a drop base. Spectre bolt works fine still, k&n kit cam be found at autozone that's pretty plug and play with the bolt. Many have a spot for the pcv hose as well

If you use a drop base you'll need spacers

Why would you want your truck breathing in hot air from under the hood? There is a good reason these trucks have a snorkle to bring cooler air in from outside the underhood area.

You don't really believe that crap do you? You won't notice any difference between the 2 especially with the iat heat soaking in the manifold

It won't really make a noticeable difference drawing from either. Unless you block the whole radiator with cardboard like I did.

With the cardboard in place, my coolant stays at a nice 200-210. the IAT was reading 65*F the other day fully warmed up after a 20 mile drive, and sitting in a parking lot running for about 5 minutes. I'm sure it would be a bit higher without the snorkel, maybe by 20-30*F. But it was bloody 12*F outside.

Perhaps you could notice a difference if you moved the IAT sensor. My truck was definitely more peppy even with the winter blend fuel than it is in the summer when the IAT sensor reads 150*F+.
