12v bench tester cheap?

Anyone advise me on a 12v device that I can use on a workbench to aid me in testing headlights and vehicle electrical assemblies prior to installing them? I don't want to spend too much. Thanks.

If theirs a radio shack still around or a CB store by you they should have bench top power supplies

Can I just use a car battery charger , not the type with instant jump start technology's.

I've done it that way before. I've also used another battery. I did find out while converting my CT to a CCT LED's polarity matters.
