You do have to be careful not to eliminate resonators with an MDS equipped engine and aftermarket mufflers. The drone can be bad but it's a personal preference things. Some folks don't mind. Some, like me, hate it.

Maybe just do the mufflers and leave the stock resos on and see how you like it.

I can't comment on the Flowmaster, but I have a 5.7 and added an MBRP exhaust and it sounds amazing! very happy with it

Convert, for now.

I tried the Flowmaster catback on my 2011, sounded like a Honda with a fart pipe on highway, swapped to Magnaflow #16869 catback, LOVED it. Just purchased second kit for my 2015.

Muffler swap here as well was thinking Flowmaster 40 which I believe doesn't have the deep drone you'd here in the cab. Maybe someone can correct.

I have the 14'' magnaflow and no drone at HWY speeds but at around 35-40 it does a little and what i like about them is that they are pretty quite till you get on it then they have a really nice sound , As many have stated on here the FM are a lot more restrictive and load .

I had the 14" magnaflow and the drone was extremely minimal. You had to get on it pretty good to achieve the sound I was seeking so on my 15 I just bought I actually went for the mufflex delete and really like it. Surprisingly the drone at highway speeds is very minimal. The sound is exactly what I was looking for. It's super loud if you get on it but just normal driving it's just a good tone and noise level. Start up sounds pretty mean as well. Currently have the resos on still but planning to eliminate this week so wel see how big of a difference they really make.

Bought my truck with 300 km on it..by 325 km it had the 14" magna flow muffler..Cat backs are a waste of $$...Maybe it will help if you went with full exhaust and headers to but a cat back is nothin more that an over priced muffler..
