General rant......Anyone else have issues fitting your 2nd gen in the garage. We live in an older subdivision, In a 1965 ranch. Now back in the day this area in Pittsburgh was all steel workers....pumped out 3/4 kids in these 3 bedroom ranchers. Now many old timers on this street talk about their old Catalina, country squire, vista cruiser wagons. Yet we all have teeny tiny garages? How in the hell did they fit?

My house is a 1926, no idea how old the garage is. But I have to back my truck into what I’m assuming is an old chicken coop/lean to that someone built onto the back of the garage. It’s only about 12” wider then my truck bed, and if I couldn’t get about 18” of my bed into that hole I wouldn’t be able to shut my garage door

I live in a 64 and I can fit my truck in if I leave 4 inches of space in front. But the garages on my block are strange, the houses are about a foot higher than the garage, so the made them longer to fit the steps, otherwise it wouldn't fit. I've got the extended cab short box.

Granted if I'd remove the tractor I'd be ok.....old Photo....the MTD got replaced by a Craftsman 54" Deck.....which compounds the problem. Beer fridge was relocated to the gameroom.....Still a pretty tight garage for 1960's Vehicles. Can't see the ol man getting his 68 Impala in there after working a double down J&L

My extended cab short bed fits into my garage of a house built in 1981. My flat bed single cab fits as well, even with lift,. I do not believe my extended cab dually would fit though.

lol what's a garage?

It's a big covered box...you keep your truck in ..it keeps your ass dry. Plus prevents the risk of rolling your head in fresh dog dooty while working under your truck.

I got no shame I worked a hell of alot of overtime to have mine :) Finally.....and the wife comes out laughing :(

newer houses are a joke for garages also though usually. the houses across the street from me that are being built right now (STARTING AT $560k) come with whats labeled a 2 car garage.... but the only vehicle thats fitting is a prius or mini cooper or stupid car and you sure as hell arent getting 2 in.... how they get away with that is beyond me

My garage is under the 80-foot maple tree outside the house. Plenty of room, excellent ventilation, close proximity to the tool box and refrigerator and awful nice in the summer. There are a few drawbacks, though. Every winter, I pray that a branch doesn't fall off and crush the roof and the birds and I have a kind of uneasy relationship. Ever notice how the cleaner your vehicle is, the more the birds want to crap on it? I love that tree, though. Would really suck if it ever comes down.

Plus prevents the risk of rolling your head in fresh dog dooty while working under your truck.

Oh, man. It's been quite a while since I decided that I would never crawl under a vehicle in the yard ever again...
