So I get people all the time asking me about my flag poles and how I mounted them. Ive seen many people mount them different ways and spending tons of money, while none of them I really cared for so I came up with my idea.
Total cost for me was about $5, more if you dont have any screws..

I used a 10ft piece of 3/4" metal conduit that I cut into two 5ft sections. Then I bought 4 1" metal straps(sold right next to the conduit in stores). Where you can see in the picture I just put one strap on bottom and one on top and used the self tapping screws to secure them. On the poles I just drilled holes and have my flags zip tied on, you can bolt them or however you want.

Ive driven at highways speeds and never had a problem with the poles moving or bending or coming out and Ive had these for over a year now and Ive done this for friends trucks too. Only thing is the flags can get torn up after a while or from driving too fast. I always have the metal straps attached to my bed so the poles can be easily removed when I dont want them. Ive had to replace two straps from **** in my bed hitting them and bending them but other than that no other problems.

Now my poles are painted lime green too:naughty:

Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
I have some questions.
Do the self taping screw just go into your drop in bedliner? Are the screws long enough to go through the bedliner and into the metal of the bed?
Wonder if this would work with a spray in bedliner?

No problem! The screws go into the metal of the bed. It will work with a spray in bedliner. I just drilled small pilot holes to help the screws get started

Hahaha damn I love little ****** like you. Sorry for being patriotic and supporting my country. Sorry for helping the hundreds of people who have asked me how to do this. Ive even seen people put these on their brand new trucks to fly an American flag on 9/11 or a POW flag.. My truck isnt brand new and over $50,000 sorry, but im damn proud my truck is a redneck hillbilly mobile to you!

If people need to ask how to do this they must have a lower IQ than you which Is hard to believe, the hundreds of people doing it is a lil easier to believe however as there is an awful lot of fully ****** rednecks in your neck of the woods

WOW tmo1620, unless you are trying to have the post come off as a joke, it is pretty harsh. If you don't like it you don't have to be insulting, just say you wouldn't do it and be done with it.

This goes on a list of things my friend does, I call them HBAF (pronouces HeBaff) or "Hill Billy As ****".

Don't in ANY way think that means I don't appreciate it, I think it's awesome.
If I had anywhere to go, I'd be rocking a good ol 'merican flag and my No Shoe nation flag.

Haha I completely understand, I joke about it like that too. This isnt really close to redneck compared to other things I do to my truck and all.. I love it when I get veterans or just any other people saying how cool it is to see a big American flag being flown behind my truck. Everywhere I go with them people always wave or salute me or do something else strange haha
