In my experience with Chevys (never taken the door panel off my Ram, gonna have to soon as the driver lock is starting to stick) the actuators are non-serviceable. You are probably just looking at replacing the actuator. In the Fords they are very simple and weak little motors with a plastic gear that couples the motor to the output, those are notorious for going out on the older Rangers, either snapping or gumming up.
