so my mom needed new brakes on her car and i installed them, and now it failed the inspection because the parking brake doesn't hold the van.

I did everything correctly, it had 4 wheel disc brakes, im thinking that the parking brake wire needs to be tightened up or something. im unsure

the guy who inspected the van put it in drive and put the P brakes on and said the van still goes with the brakes on. but when I did that later at home it didn't.

im confused and want to get this fixed, any ideas

Yea its kinda like that. Im not sure the cable is tightened because im not sure how I tighten it. I didn't have this issue when I did my truck.

There should be an adjustment for it near the rear end. Should look like a long screw or something with a nut on it.. Just twist it to tighten it up a little and it should work. Take out the slack.
