Considering how new BMW sports bikes are to the market, they already have a fantastic bike.
Also, they are really beginning to place well in the World Superbike racing.
Nice BMW, and congrats on your wifes new toy (though I have a feeling you might wanna play with it too, from time to time;)).

I looooove the S1000rr. Don't get me wrong. I love my Yamaha FZ8, but this is my dream bike right now, perhaps the unfaired S1000r version, but, yeah. Envy right here.

Yes. The first service is due at 600 miles. They do the service and remove the 9,000 rpm limiter. I am supposed to ride in "rain" mode until then.

I had no idea they were doing that. That's a great idea, to some degree, it insures that they're broken-in properly.
Plus, it teaches us patience! :) Lol

Is it made in Germany??

Yeah i like getting to know it's mannerisms. Indeed it is. It was manufactured in Berlin Germany April 2014. To my surprise it even carries a 3yr, 36k warranty. Unheard of in the superbike world.

Holy sheet man! That's a true rocket.
I had an FZ1, my buddy bought one of these, he'd leave me standing stupid like I wasn't even trying. Quite an impressive machine!

Stay safe!

Good to hear. Awesome bike!
I have had a number of Japanese 600s and a Ducati 748.
I miss those days! :)

Yeah I had a Hayabusa before this one. I'm glad to have one again.

You like the BIG power, huh?! Hayabusa's pretty much suicide for me. Lol!

I was more of a short wheel base, canyon carver. There was something about taking 35 mph turns at 70mph+ that got my blood pumping! ;) Then opening the throttle out of the turns and going WOT on the straights, dropping gears and sliding the rear tire into the next turn... over and over... aaaaaahhhhhh. Lol!

Heh, enter the S1000RR, which is a short wheel base canyon carver with 193RWHP. :worthy:
