I am a new dodge owner. Have done a few small things to gain some power, I have a 2008 hemi 5.7. Was thinking about removing the catalytic converters, but I don't want my truck to start throwing codes and not running right. I have heard of non- foulers? Not sure what they are or how they work. Does anyone know if the truck will still throw codes if I just cut the cats out, knock the insides out of them and weld the pipe back in place with the 02 sensors in place still?

It is going to be loud as all get out .If you think of doing all that why not get high flowing cats with low restriction.I did that on a Mustang years ago but it had a carb on it not all this computer junk they have on them now.

Non foulers work, I ran them on mine before a custom tune eliminated the downstream sensors from the computer. You have to drill out one non fouler for the sensor to fit all the way inside and thread in. Just find out what thread your sensor is and pick a non fouler with the same. They are about $5 at autozone off the shelf 4c0116295b5ed350f7e763e45d8955a9.jpg

Downstream sensors only! The code itself will not effect the engine performance at all, it will just trigger a check engine light
