I purchased the 52" Husky 18 drawer tool chest from Home Depot about a year ago and love it! I had 2 I was using and bought this one and now I need more tools to fill it up, lol!

Sears was blowing these out at 35 - 50% off in the fall of 2014 and I snapped a set up with the top chest and bottom roll-a-way as a package:

It was actually better quality than the big Craftsman I looked at with roller bearing slides, drawer stops, internal drawer catches and several other nice features. I've been very happy with how they look and how they work.

Having the big top was something I was looking for. For chargers, drills, extra storage, etc.

Yeah, I love to large top on mine. Plus had a hole in the rear to run my charger cords for my cordless tool set as well. So now every tool I have is in there, and still have like 6 empty drawers. I didn't have use for the big door at the bottom so I went with the drawers instead.

Since we live in an apt with a single car, rather small garage, I am planning on putting all my car detailing sprays, waxes, etc in that big door. I am basically taking down a shelf and putting most of the stuff in the tool box in some way. Plus, it will help get rid of clutter, which I hate with a passion.

Agreed, I didn't need that. Snap-On is nice. But my $500 does just fine for my needs.

About half of that, but it's something I use 10-12 hours a day.

No doubt, Snap On is in a class of their own. Probably not practical for the weekend warrior.

If I wrenched more often, and certainly if it were my job, I'd have nicer boxes. I have nice tools as there is no substitute, but I have **** boxes that are about worn out. hmmm... maybe it's time for an upgrade....

A lot of times you can get used boxes for cheap... But it also helps when the farm you helped start has the snap-on guy on his weekly route cause we'd buy so many tools. We had a tool trailer I built that we out grew fast. The Farm owner ended up buying a used Snap-on truck and turning it into a rolling snap-on toolbox... Bought a few used boxes for half the price and 1 new one at cost since we gave the Snap-on guy so much business.

Always been a fan of Craftsman. Picked up this one a couple months ago and gave my son my older one. Of course, more drawers means more tool....am I right!
