I'm new to ramforum, so bear with me. I bought a '14 2500 Cummins, was a trade show truck with 4k miles, but sold as new since it'd never been titled. Purchased less than a month ago, after about a week I noticed it shifting a little rough from time to time. Last Thursday it ****** hard, engine light came on, and quit on me. Codes said I lost 1,3 & 4th gears. It's only got 6500 miles on it, and I haven't pulled anything with it yet. The dealer who is working on it has given me a few different answers on when I'll have it back, but I need a truck this weekend for towing. I've heard it could be as simple as a sensor, but could also need more. I am waiting to hear back from Chrysler to see if there's anything they will do to speed things up or help me. Has anyone had these issues? Any advice, or do I have any ground to stand on for a complaint? I love the truck, but I didn't expect to pay that much money and have it sit in the shop for this long after only a few weeks of ownership.

update

Dealer called today and said after taking another look at it, it is an internal issue and will not be a quick fix. Said he will have to send pics to Chrysler for approval before they can order parts. He said he called Chrysler to let them know what was going on and that a rep should be contacting me today. But it is looking like I will not have my truck back by the deadline I needed it for. And it is costing me money because I need a truck for work and to haul trailers. Any advice is appreciated

I called and left voicemail 5 days and never was contacted by my case manager Sherry Hawk. Every time I was told she was the only one that could answer my questions and she'd get back to me within one business day, never happened. The dealer fixed my truck after 2 weeks and I picked it up yesterday morning. It is running great, but I'm very disappointed in Chrysler corporate and their lack of customer service.

I never got a call about a rental, and was told I could rent one out of pocket and ask for reimbursement. I couldn't afford it not knowing if they'd reimburse me for sure, and I left messages about that issue too. Still no calls. I've learned that I'm on my own when it comes to dealing with them. My dealer was working as fast as they could trying to keep me happy. That was the only upside

important thing is you got your truck back. you'll deal with the rental later. I learned yesterday that you only get a loaner if you have the extended warranty. I just hope my new ram is as reliable as my titan.
