I see lots of talk about camping and fishing, but nothing about kayaking or canoeing.

I've been kayaking since I was 18...bought my first from Dicks. Didn't take long until I was on overnight trips alone. I recently bought a kayak for my girlfriend, hoping to get her familiar enough with it to venture off on some weekend trips. Currently saving for a fishing rig and a Go-Pro camera. It's amazing how popular it's getting now...seems like anytime I go out on the water, I come across dozens of fellow paddlers.

Can I get a headcount? Any stories or pictures? Anybody thinking of getting into the sport?

Its something I have often talked of getting into but can never find the time. If I could pick one up over winter discounted I'd do it next summer for sure.

I took a kayak out July 4th weekend for the first time. Was checking to see if my arms could handle it after my surgery. I need more time, but it was fun, and I hope to get my own soon.

Done it since I was 5. No sea kayaking, though. Love week long trips. Been too long since last one, want to take my ram to Texas next.

The pics from Northern Europe; an inflatable for shallow waters, my favorite tent for boat trips and my wife cooking a meal.
Go get out there!

My wife and I got our first kayak this year. We got a tandem, which works out pretty well. And when I want to, I let her do all the paddling.

I use to do alot of kayaking in middle school and high school. There's alot of nice lakes and rivers around here for it.
