You said no surplus of chrome? But do you actually have any chrome to do an FX-R update on currently? I've been thinking about it, saw the thread of the 2500 Laramie you did with these lights, wasn't crazy on how the black looked, kind of want to go with that "upgraded" look.

no surplus, but I can always do up a chrome FXR'd setup! And..........I think that would look better on your truck with the rest of the chrome anyway.

Order Placed!

I've been putting this off for far too long now,
...finally ready to let go of my black tinted GTS covers.

I wanted those 13' style lights since I first saw them,
but wanted to get a new set of Sport Wheels first to replace my crappy chrome clads.

Found the wheels a couple weeks ago locally for chump change ($650)
new, never used dealer takeoffs, then got new tires the following week, now time for new heads!

.....good timing J!

Wait WUT?

I was under the impression that the optional adapter/harness took care of that?

Can you please confirm JJ?
I may have to cancel my order :sad72:

I definitely NEED the DRLS to operate just like the 13'-14's to stay legal in Canada.

The amber LED running lamps look cool on the canuck Rams
...even coooooler on Pigeonman's with the amber Halo's

I replied to your email.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it pnp? not at this time.

As for DRLs.........the high beams are what your DRLs are on currently on your truck, and would continue via the harness we currently provide (so you'd still be legal in Canada with DRLs) No simple pnp option to redirect power from the highs to the parking lights. Couple relays per side though, and yeah - its possible.

Ship em Up Buddy!

I'll get em to work one way or another,
Might even see if I can talk Pigeonman into cracking them,
paint them black inside and putting some of those badass Halo's in.

Thanks J

Lol! Thanks for the vote of confidence and the compliments! It took me the better part of 2-3 weeks to do mine between my work schedule and family.

All things considered it would probably be way easier and quicker if you got JJ to crack them for you before sending them up. Once they're open the rest is easy.

I was nervous enough doing my own. I'd be a basket case doing someone else's property. Especially property that I wouldn't have the means to replace if I screwed it up.

Haha

Just for ****z and giggles, shoot me an email quote J,
time I've got, money not so much, so a month or so would fit my schedule (and budget) fine.

I hate to copy cat someones work but those are the best Ram headlights I've ever seen Pigeonman.

Not sure I need the HID upgrade, easy to add later on my own if I decide,
but the Amber Halo's and blacking out the chrome looks killer!

Thanks man!

They say imitation is the best form of flattery, so copy away. Besides I can't claim the design as my own. Inspiration for them came from JJ's work.

Looking at those halo's makes me think about doing that to my express since it already came with projectors. Yours look good with the LEDs. Not sure if I want amber or white though. I saw a conversion done on a ram where the LEDs where white but I didn't see if they kept the orange as well for a switchback look. Couod youn tell me Where you got the halo's? I am not shy about cracking open the lights, I have done a few sets on previous vehicles when I wasn't busy with work.
I think it would look good later since I was planning on getting the projectors done in the fogs to match after I get all the other major things I need done.

Careful with the halo's up here boys... JJ can fill you in unless they are different than mine.

They're up here with me Jeremy. Our weather isn't kind to them. Find out which ones JJ used for mine and see if there's another option.

No knock on JJ or his work, don't get me wrong. If I did it again, it would be with JJ hands down. The style of halo's we tried on mine didn't last unfortunately. About 4 months of an Edmonton winter. Hopefully they've come out with something new that will stand up.

All 4 of mine got progressively worse. Kind of sucks and I've disconnected them for the time being. I really liked them.

Not saying yours will if you have something different, but the cold is hard on stuff. It wasn't just 1 halo. It was all 4.

Just a heads up. Go for it, looks cool as hell. A "One Off" look to set it apart from the all the others around.

Mike - I'll nab your email here in a few, at the day job now.........yippie......(bleh)

On the halos, those are the ones we use, from TRS. I am not sure what version was on yours.....they've gone through a few revisions. The new ones with the aluminum backs......should have a much better lifespan. But, to be honest, I'm kinda moving more towards the RGB halos on most of my builds lately. Get any color you want, and its the smd tech....older tech, but seems to be more stable. I have a slick setup coming soon that will blow your freakin' minds. :)

Out of curiousity are the halo's wired separately so I can add a manual switch to them, or do you tie them into the PL (parking lamps) ?
